Meta rolls out Threads ads to all users globally
Threads becomes a fully buyable ad surface across Meta's network starting this week.
Mariano De Vitto · July 2026
Meta began rolling out ads on Threads to all users worldwide the week of July 24, 2026, opening a new inventory pool at meaningful scale.
Threads has grown into one of Meta's most active newer surfaces, and global ad availability turns it from an audience play into a buyable channel with carousel and Advantage plus style formats.
For advertisers the near term value is incremental reach inside the Meta ecosystem with familiar buying tools, which lowers the cost of testing.
Meta is also testing paid No Ads subscriptions for Threads and WhatsApp, a reminder that the company is building an ad supported lane and a paid lane at once.
The sensible move is to treat Threads as a test budget line rather than a core channel, measure incremental reach against Instagram and Facebook, and watch early cost per result before committing real spend.
