TikTok ships automated ad tools at scale
TikTok World 26 brought Collage Carousel, module-level Smart+ control, Reference to Video in Symphony, Branded Buzz and Growth Max Mini Games. More automation, more commerce, more creator scale.

TikTok used TikTok World 26 and its Q2 product preview to push more of the ad workflow into automation. The headline format is Collage Carousel, which puts a hero image and three more product visuals in the first frame, each clickable and linked to its product page. Advertisers switch it on at the ad level in TikTok Ads Manager.
The bigger change is control. Smart+ now lets advertisers toggle automation module by module, for targeting, budget or placements, rather than accepting the whole package. Music Autofix unblocks delivery when an ad uses music that is not commercially licensed. On the creative side, Reference to Video in Symphony prompts exact images and products at specific moments, Branded Buzz produces hundreds of creator videos, and Auto Selection picks the creative that should perform best.
How to read it
The pattern is consistent across every platform this week: more automation, more commerce, more creator scale. The module-level control in Smart+ is the part worth acting on first, because it lets you keep automation where it earns its keep and pull it back where you want a human hand. Collage Carousel rewards a tidy product feed, so audit your catalog first, and treat generative video as variations of a strong idea, not a substitute for the idea.
The signal: Turn on Smart+ module by module, keep a human on targeting, and clean your product feed before testing Collage Carousel.
